Victory Pushes Voodoo Record to 56-51
The New Orleans Voodoo got a strong performance from pitcher Juan Díaz, who stymied the Montana offense en route to a 5-2 win at The Voodoo Lounge. The win was credited to Austin Aries in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Sukejuro Yokoyama took the loss. Jean-François Chapon got the save, his 5th in 6 chances.

New Orleans took a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. With one out, left fielder Takashi Noda hit a 2-run home run that set the crowd abuzz.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Noda said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."

The Voodoo bumped their record to 56-51 with this latest triumph.
