|
Buckhead third baseman Yu-zeng Si was instrumental in his team's 6-2 win over the Houston 1837 BBC. Si, who is on pace to hit 23 home runs this season, went 3-4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Bowties. The Bowties own a robust 74-33 mark.
Had John Downing not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Downing hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Bowties.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Si. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
