The Phoenix Hotspur took Toledo pitcher Enrique Castro's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Chase Field. The final score had Phoenix getting past the Stingers, 3-2. Castro went 8 innings and allowed 3 earned runs, striking out 8. Miguel Rubia picked up the win, improving his season record to 3-8. He struck out 6 in 6.1 innings. Phoenix is now 29-40. Toledo is 33-36.

Tied up with the Stingers in the bottom of the fifth inning, the Hotspur got a boost from right fielder Francisco García. With the bases loaded, García saw a 1-2 slider from Enrique Castro and hit a bases-clearing double to break the stalemate and put Phoenix on top, 3-0.

García said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
