Zambaco Sensational for 1837 BBC
|
Alexis Zambaco pitched a gem to lead Houston to a 2-0 victory over the New Orleans Voodoo. Pedro Valdéz got the save, his 15th in 16 chances. The 1837 BBC bumped their record to 48-40 with this latest triumph.
Zambaco was in the zone all game. He frustrated New Orleans hitters while giving the 1837 BBC 8.1 innings of quality work. Zambaco threw 90 pitches, allowing 6 hits and getting 5 punchouts.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Zambaco said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
