Multi-HR Game for Robertson in 7-3 Win
|
The Kingston Township Legion downed the Oakland Oaks, 7-3, at Oakland Coliseum. Scott Robertson led the way, going 2-for-4 for Kingston Township. Manny Castro picked up the win with 6 innings of work. He allowed 3 earned runs on 6 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 2. On the season, he is now 6-5. Kazu Omori earned the save, his 1st, for the Legion.
Robertson contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Kingston Township in the top of the sixth. With his team trailing 3-2, Robertson took a fastball from Panda Montana and stroked the home run to left. His 6th home run of the season allowed the Legion to leap in front, 4-3.
"When I'm in the lineup, I always feel like we're going to win the game," said Robertson.
With the win, Kingston Township goes to 41-30, while the Oaks fall to 42-29.
