Victory Pushes Voodoo Record to 33-30
|
New Orleans played host to Houston at the friendly confines of The Voodoo Lounge.
Behind a solid performance from second baseman Mario Álvarez, the New Orleans Voodoo defeated the Houston 1837 BBC, 5-3. Álvarez went 3 for 4 with 3 singles for the Voodoo. The 1837 BBC, at 33-30, have lost 4 straight games.
The Voodoo got a big at-bat from right fielder William O'Keefe. For the game, O'Keefe was 1-3 with a home run. In the bottom of the fifth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 8th home run of the season gave New Orleans a 4-3 lead.
