|
The Houston 1837 BBC got a magnificent performance from pitcher Jon Briddon, who muffled the Oakland offense en route to a tight 3-0 1837 BBC win at Houston Grounds. Briddon, now 3-5, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 2 hits, while striking out 5, walking 4, and allowing no earned runs. Houston is now 30-24.
Guillermo Arellano, who is tied for 4th in the 3L in doubles with 15, aided the Houston cause with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the first. For the game, the first baseman was 1 for 3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
