It was a fun time at Field of the Middies, where the Quebec City Les Bleus and Grafton Middies tangled.

The Grafton Middies picked up a win at Field of the Middies, knocking off the Quebec City Les Bleus, 6-1. Starting pitcher Luis Torres, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. In 8.2 innings, Torres surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run.

The Middies beat the Les Bleus with some clutch hitting. The home run by Stefano Gaddi in the bottom of the first is a good example. With two down, Gaddi gave his team the lead, 2-0, when he came through with the big hit.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Torres told the Grafton News. "It's as simple as that."

Grafton, at 20-27, sits in 9th place in the Third League.
