The Buckhead Bowties eked out a 7-6 win versus the New Orleans Voodoo at The Voodoo Lounge. Nobody did more than third baseman Yu-zeng Si, who captured player of the game honors. Buckhead reliever Tyler MacHugh was credited with the win, to go to 2-1. Bob Roth took the loss for New Orleans. Tomás Vargas recorded his 3rd save for Buckhead.

Had Derek Bangert not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Bangert hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 7-6, in favor of the Bowties.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Buckhead manager Kerry Hofmeister.

Buckhead has an impressive 27-10 record.
