Tukufu Hits 2 home runs in Black Sox Win
|
A 4-RBI performance from Berihun Tukufu, who is tied for 10th in the SAAA in total bases with 149, helped the Baltimore Black Sox beat the Royse City Targaryens, 7-4. Ernest Hawks was the winner. Over 5.1 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 7 hits, with 4 walks and 4 strikeouts. Baltimore occupies third place in the Silver AAA at 52-39.
Tukufu contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Baltimore in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 3-1, Tukufu took a fastball from Edgar Lankford and stroked the home run to left. His 18th home run of the season allowed the Black Sox to leap in front, 4-3.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Tukufu.
