Doubledays Hang 5-3 Loss on Flyers
|
The Pennsauken Flyers got a superb performance from center fielder Gong Mao. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Tremont. The Doubledays won the game, 5-3. In spite of the loss, Mao was named the player of the game. He was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and 2 walks. Seung-hyeon So, credited with the win, is now 6-1. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. Tremont is now 48-42, Pennsauken 26-64.
Ricardo Pérez, who leads the SAAA with a .442 on-base percentage, aided the Tremont cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the second baseman was 1-3 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Pérez.
