|
Scranton rode a fine outing from starter Gilberto Pontojá to victory over the Baltimore Black Sox at Nuclear Stadium. The final score was 4-1. Pontojá, now 5-3, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 5, walking 2, and allowing 1 earned run. The Supernovas now have a mark of 34-55.
Felipe Bruno, who is tied for 6th in the SAAA in home runs with 15, chipped in for Scranton with a 2-run single in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the designated hitter had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
