Black Sox Win at Scranton, 7-3
|
The Scranton Supernovas got a superb performance from first baseman Chase Popoff. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Baltimore. The Black Sox won the game, 7-3. In spite of the loss, Popoff was named the player of the game. He slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The win puts the Black Sox at 51-37, while the Supernovas drop to 33-55.
Berihun Tukufu helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run home run to give Baltimore a 2-0 lead.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Tukufu said after the game.
