Scranton second baseman Carlos Sánchez had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 11-7, to Tortolita at Nuclear Stadium. Sánchez went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Andy Fallon got the win, improving to 9-5. He worked 6.1 innings, giving up 6 runs on 10 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 2. The Supernovas, now 27-48, have lost 5 in a row.

Tied up with the Supernovas in the top of the fourth inning, the Drummers got a boost from designated hitter Marcos Roa. With the bases loaded, Roa saw a 0-1 fastball from Apollo Cepeda and hit a 2-run single to break the stalemate and put Tortolita on top, 6-4.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Roa.
