Athletic Club KC starter Wayne Slade pitched effectively against the Baltimore Black Sox at KC Reserve Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a 5-4 win. Athletic Club KC reliever Hezekiah Grimsley picked up the win, upping his record to 3-2. Bruce Wright shouldered the loss. The 5th-place Reserves have won 4 in a row.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Athletic Club KC shortstop Tasuku Goto, facing Bruce Wright, had a run-scoring single. It gave the Reserves the 5-4 win.

"We battled our tails off to get this win," said Athletic Club KC manager Henry Russell.
