Showander Descarte added some punch to the Vermont offense, helping them outmuscle the Pawnee ParksNRec, 10-8. In the game, Descarte, who is rated as the 54th best prospect by BNN, was 3-5 with 2 doubles. He drove in 7 runs. Vermont improves to 42-24 with the win. They lead their division by 2 games.
Descarte had a game-changing double in the top of the eighth. On a 0-1 fastball from Gavin Blackburn, he banged a bases-clearing double to left-center, giving the Lake Monsters a 10-7 lead. It was the 3rd double of the year for Descarte.
