Drummers Get One-Run Win at Tremont
|
The Tortolita Drummers did just enough to secure a 2-1 victory over the Tremont Doubledays at Doubledays Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Oswaldo Mobray, who captured player of the game honors. Ricardo Ruíz, credited with the save, is now 6 for 6 in save opportunities. The winning streak has now reached 5 games for Tortolita.
The Drummers got a big at-bat from catcher Vincent Klein. For the game, Klein was 1-4. In the top of the sixth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 58th hit of the season gave Tortolita a 2-1 lead.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Mobray told the Tortolita Bulletin.
