Black Sox Come Back Late to Top Flyers
|
Baltimore third baseman Howard Lee made his presence felt in the 7-5 Black Sox triumph over the Pennsauken Flyers. Lee went 3-5 with 3 singles and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Baltimore reliever Toshiki Yokoyama was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Mau Delgado. Picking up the save was Bruce Wright, his 1st.
Carlos González had the most critical at-bat for Baltimore. With two in the top of the ninth inning, González hit a 1-1 cutter from Mau Delgado for a 2-run single. It put Baltimore in front, 7-5.
"Feels good to get the job done," Lee said after the game.
The last-place Flyers have lost 4 consecutive games.
