Braves Get One-Run Win at Scranton
Gryfindor Braves starter Fred Gunther turned in a sterling performance against the Scranton Supernovas, leading his team to a slim 2-1 win. The winning pitcher was Gunther, now 3-4. He tossed 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 4 and fanning 5. Earning his 4th save of the year was Brian Peeks.

In the top of the 6th, right fielder Donatas Montiejunas gave Gryfindor the lead when he hit a 2-run single. The Braves had been trailing 1-0, but the two-out single off Scranton pitcher NaNomi Lojore changed that -- and Gryfindor went on to win.

"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Gryfindor manager said.

The win puts the Braves at 23-24, while the Supernovas drop to 18-29.
