The Vermont Lake Monsters got a stellar performance from pitcher Javier Matajudíos, who handcuffed the Gryfindor offense en route to a 4-2 win at Cayuse Ballpark. Jamel Rhoads nailed down his 8th save. The first-place Lake Monsters have a one-game lead in their division.

Vermont shortstop Cosmo Castanhedo contributed to the cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth. For the game, Castanhedo went 1 for 2.
