Big Day by Pacheco Ignites Drummers Win
|
With first baseman Ricardo Pacheco leading the charge, the Tortolita Drummers defeated the Gryfindor Braves, 7-4, at Cayuse Ballpark. Pacheco, who is tied for 3rd in the SAAA in hits with 37, went 4-4 with 4 singles and 2 walks, while scoring 3 times. Today's win puts Tortolita at 14-10, while Gryfindor falls to 10-14.
Lloyd Alberink, who is tied for 2nd in the SAAA in triples with 2, aided the Tortolita cause with a 2-run triple in the top of the sixth. For the game, the third baseman was 1-5 with a triple, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Pacheco told the Tortolita Bulletin.
