Evergreens Topple Dodgers with Late Rally

The Portland Evergreens extended their winning streak at Ebbetts Field.
Brooklyn right fielder Manuel Carmona had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 6-4, to Portland at Ebbetts Field. Carmona was 4-4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Portland reliever Roberto Calderón was the winner. His record is now 6-0. Luis Bejarano took the loss.
John Ennis, who was drafted in the three round of the 2024 draft, aided the Portland cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the eighth. For the game, the first baseman drew 1 walk in 4 plate appearances.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Portland manager Imran Baig.
Portland is now 39-13, 5 games up in the Premier League.
