Fans who gathered at Royse City Stadium saw a good contest between the Tremont Doubledays and Royse City Targaryens.
The Tremont Doubledays topped the Royse City Targaryens by the score of 6-4, with the biggest share of the credit going to shortstop Mario Rivera. Rivera was 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 times for the Doubledays on the day. Jeff Bradshaw got the win, improving to 1-0. He worked 6.1 innings, giving up 4 runs on 9 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 3.
One of the key players for the Doubledays was first baseman Sergio Pérez, who drilled a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning. For the game, Pérez was 1-2 with 2 walks.
