The Tortolita Drummers picked up a win at Whips Ballpark, knocking off the Pawnee ParksNRec, 3-1. Starting pitcher Steve Seabolt, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Getting the save was Briggs Bourgeois, his 4th. Tortolita, at 7-2, is off to a blistering start.
One of the key players for the Drummers was first baseman Ricardo Pacheco, who drilled a run-scoring single in the top of the second inning. For the game, Pacheco went 1 for 4 with a walk.
"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Pacheco.
