Calgary rode a fine outing from starter Miguel López to victory over the Bloomington Longnecks at Lynx Stadium. The final score was 2-0. The winning pitcher was López, now 1-0. He tossed 7 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 4. Héctor Pérez recorded his 2nd save for Calgary.

Tied up with the Longnecks in the bottom of the fourth inning, the Lynx got a boost from designated hitter Jing-sheng Joo. With the bases loaded, Joo saw a first pitch slider from Tony DeWitt and hit a 2-run single to break the stalemate and put Calgary on top, 2-0.
