Tritons Shut Out Coral Reefers
|
The Jersey City Tritons defeated the Key West Coral Reefers, 4-0, in USPL Triple A action at Jersey City Grounds, with Jersey City pitcher Pang Qin named player of the game. Mat Tengku earned the save for Jersey City, his 3rd of the year. The Tritons, now 3-0, have stormed out of the gates.
Arturo Scantlebury, who is rated as the 70th best prospect by BNN, helped out the Jersey City cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the first baseman drove in one run.
"I thought we played a nice game," Scantlebury told the Jersey City Herald. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
