Silver Sox Win Thriller, 3-2
|
Reno Silver Sox starter Jordan Turpin was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Long Island Seawolves, 3-2. The Silver Sox saw their record improve to 42-53.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Reno designated hitter Jean Lechuga, facing Jamey Crockett, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Silver Sox the 3-2 win.
"Enjoyed this one," Lechuga told the Reno Citizen. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
