Seawolves Pull Off Thrilling Win in Extras
Mathieu Neri was superb against Reno. The left-hander, who is tied for 5th in the SAA with a 13 quality starts, had a fastball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a 4-3 Seawolves victory. Reliever Carlos Costello picked up the win. His record improves to 4-0. Aaron Houchens took the loss. The first-place Seawolves, at 60-34, now lead their division by 7 games.

Albert Covington had the most critical at-bat for Long Island. With two in the top of the 11th inning, Covington hit a 3-1 cutter from Aaron Houchens for a run-scoring single. It put Long Island in front, 4-3.

"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Neri.
