Reno played host to Tacoma at the friendly confines of Tennille Grounds.

The Reno Silver Sox dealt the Tacoma Fur Traders a 5-2 loss at Tennille Grounds. Jean Lechuga was the star on offense. He went 3-3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. Bob Christison earned the save for Reno, his 6th of the year.

The Silver Sox got a lift from first baseman Marcos Costa who had a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fourth inning off Luis Ruíz. It was his 36th RBI of the season and put Reno in front, 3-2.

"We take it day by day here," said Lechuga, "and today was a good one for us."

Reno is now 40-52. Tacoma is 39-53.
