Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Atoms
|
The Bethesda Atoms topped the Lannister United Lionhearts, 3-2, in USSL Double A action at Atoms Field. The player of the game was Bethesda pitcher Vincent O'Higgin. Bethesda is now 47-45.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Bethesda pinch hitter Chase Mooney, facing Fernando Elías, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Atoms the 3-2 win.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," O'Higgin said.
