Lancaster and Salem duked it out at Ricochets Ballpark and the Farmers came out victorious.

The Lancaster Farmers topped the Salem Misfits, 8-6, in USSL Double A action at Ricochets Ballpark. The player of the game was Lancaster pitcher and Conakry, Guinea native Montrell Baxa. Mannus Dijkman closed the game out for Lancaster, earning his 25th save.

The Farmers got a big at-bat from left fielder Ramón Soto. For the game, Soto was 1-5 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 13th home run of the season gave Lancaster a 6-3 lead.

"We'll take this win and move on," said Baxa.

Lancaster now owns a record of 49-39.
