Atoms Fall to .500 After Loss to Fur Traders

Tacoma and Bethesda duked it out at Atoms Field and the Fur Traders came out victorious.
Despite a fine performance by first baseman Tomás Gonzáles, the Bethesda Atoms suffered a 7-4 loss to the Tacoma Fur Traders. Gonzáles was 2-2 with 2 singles and 2 walks. Hengkie Iriawan picked up the win, improving his season record to 5-7. He struck out 4 in 6.2 innings.
Tacoma catcher Michael Palledorous helped the Fur Traders to the win. In the top of the fifth inning, the 25-year old catcher stroked a run-scoring single. For the game, Palledorous was 2-4 with 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Palledorous.
The Atoms, at 38-38, have lost 4 in a row.
