Silver Sox Slip Past Lancaster, 7-6
|
The Lancaster Farmers got a superb performance from right fielder Bobson Dugnutt, but the Reno Silver Sox still won the game, 7-6. Dugnutt was named the player of the game despite the loss. He was 2-4 with a home run, a double, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. The Silver Sox, now 33-35, have won 4 in a row.
Late in the game, pinch hitter Armando Romero had a big at-bat for Reno. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single off Mannus Dijkman. The play gave the Silver Sox a 7-6 lead.
In postgame comments, Romero said he was glad to contribute to an exciting win.
