Victory Pushes Atoms Record to 34-33
|
Despite a fine performance by left fielder Yoshi Kouda, the Durham Rapiers suffered a 4-3 loss to the Bethesda Atoms. Kouda went 3-3 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Manuel Ceja was the winner. Over 8 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 10 hits, with 1 walk and 5 strikeouts. Bethesda is now 34-33.
Marc Beck, who is tied for 2nd in the SAA in stolen bases with 23, contributed to the Bethesda win with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the third. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
