Phoenix and Panama City duked it out at The Tank and the Hotspur came out victorious.
Phoenix rode a fine outing from starter Jaime van de Weideven to victory over the Panama City Piranhas at The Tank. The final score was 5-2. Earning his 8th save for Phoenix was Roger Taylor.
Tadayoshi Watanabe hit a run-scoring triple off Robinson Suárez in the top of the first, which put the Hotspur in front, 1-0. Watanabe had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 4.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said van de Weideven.
The Hotspur saw their win-loss record go to 19-25. At the same time, the Piranhas fell to 15-29.
