The Long Island Seawolves grabbed a 9-5 win over the Lancaster Farmers at Ballpark of Remsen. Long Island first baseman Alfredo Sánchez went 3 for 3 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 5 to earn player of the game honors. Long Island is now 27-16.

Sánchez contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Long Island in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 5-3, Sánchez took a changeup from Mark Clift and stroked the home run to right. His 11th home run of the season allowed the Seawolves to leap in front, 6-5.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Sánchez.
