The Durham Rapiers got a superb performance from pitcher Cisco Pérez, but the Lancaster Farmers still won the game, 3-2. Pérez was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 7 innings of 5-hit ball. The winner was Benedicto Castellon in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Bill Minor took the loss. Today's win puts Lancaster at 19-20, while Durham falls to 25-14.
Lancaster second baseman Marcel Roks delivered a run-scoring double in the top of the 13th. Overall, he went 3 for 6, including 1 home run, 1 single, and 1 double. He scored 1 run and batted in 2.
