Seawolves Get Close Win Over Silver Sox
The Long Island Seawolves easily defeated the Reno Silver Sox, 14-4, at Tennille Grounds, with catcher DeAndre Thomas a main contributor to the win. He went 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for Long Island. Long Island reliever Carlos Costello picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Risto Latva absorbed the loss. After today's action, Long Island sits at 20-13, while Reno falls to 17-16.

Long Island needed the clutch hitting of Júlio Flores to notch the win. The designated hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Seawolves on top, 7-4. For the game, Flores had 1 home run and 1 single in 6 at-bats.

"We came out aggressive," said Seawolves manager Matt Helsley. "We came out swinging the bats."
