Portland right-hander Yoo-chul Mun pitched his team to victory over the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids at Atlantica. The final score was 4-0. Mun, the winner, moves to 5-1. He threw 7 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up 2 walks. Roberto Calderón earned the save for Portland, his 10th of the year.

The Evergreens got a big at-bat from first baseman John Ennis. For the game, Ennis went 1-3 with a double. In the top of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 5th double of the season gave Portland a 1-0 lead.

"I thought we played a nice game," Ennis told the Portland Times. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
