The Farmers faced a stiff challenge from Lannister United pitcher Surrealiste Zhejna, but persevered to claim a win at Lionheart Field. The final score was 5-4. Zhejna went 6.1 innings and allowed no earned runs. Mannus Dijkman nailed down his 8th save. The Farmers, now 15-14, have won 4 in a row.
The most critical at-bat came in the top of the ninth inning. With one out, Ramón Soto hit a 1-1 fastball from José Montalópez for a run-scoring single. It put Lancaster in front, 5-4.
"We found a way to get it done," Soto said.
