The Long Island Seawolves bested the Reno Silver Sox, 9-4, at Ballpark of Remsen. Sang Hong-Do was named player of the game. He was 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Long Island reliever José González picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Edgardo Salas was saddled with the loss. Long Island is off to a hot start at 8-3.
Hong-Do had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the bottom of the second inning, when he hit a 2-run single. The Seawolves went on to win.
"We came out aggressive," said Seawolves manager Matt Helsley. "We came out swinging the bats."
