Seawolves Turn Back Lannister United, 5-4
|
The Long Island Seawolves turned back the Lannister United Lionhearts, 5-4, at Ballpark of Remsen. Brad Mosley was named player of the game for his fine performance. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Bo Reid was the winner. Over 8 innings, he allowed 4 runs on 7 hits, with 3 walks and 5 strikeouts. Orynn Veillon picked up the save, his 3rd.
Mosley had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a first pitch slider from Javier Mena, he banged a solo home run to left, giving the Seawolves a 5-4 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Mosley.
Mosley told a Long Island Gazette reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
The Seawolves raised their record to 5-3.
