|
Pitcher Miguel Cabañas was sensational for the Sunset District Fog in his team's 3-1 triumph over the Brinkley Belugas. Cabañas received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. Cabañas got the win, improving to 7-7. He allowed 3 hits and walked 2 over 6 innings. Cabañas allowed 1 earned run. Sunset District's record now stands at 52-50, placing them 5th in the Menard's AAA.
Tied up with the Belugas in the bottom of the fourth inning, the Fog got a boost from first baseman Ieyoshi Samurakami. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Samurakami saw a 2-2 cutter from Matt Martin and hit a 2-run double to break the stalemate and put Sunset District on top, 2-0.
"It was a good effort all around," said Samurakami.
