Weber Goes Wild, But Men Win
|
Sunset District catcher Charles Weber had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Weber went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 5, even as Florida beat the Fog, 13-10. Weber was named the player of the game despite the loss. The win was credited to Zafar Zahir in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Miguel Cabañas took the loss. With the win, Florida has a record of 56-41. Sunset District falls to 49-48.
Florida catcher Juan Tapia contributed to the cause with a 2-run double in the top of the fifth. For the game, Tapia went 2 for 4 with a double and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2.
"I still think this team has room for improvement," Tapia told the Florida Herald.
