Coyotes Bang Out 6-3 Win Versus Sioux Falls
|
The Hamilton Coyotes defeated the Sioux Falls Red Pandas, 6-3, in M3L Triple A action at Coyote Wildlife Refuge, with Hamilton pitcher Ken Clarke named player of the game. Clarke, now 2-2, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 1, walking 2, and allowing 1 earned run. Shackleford Stanwick, credited with the save, is now 3 for 3 in save opportunities.
The Coyotes had to work out of trouble in the top of the ninth. The score was 6-3, Hamilton, with one out. Sioux Falls, with runners on 1st and 2nd, was mounting a threat. Darrell Terwey dug in at the plate, but on a 1-2 changeup, he hit into a double play.
Even with the win, the Coyotes have a dismal 30-65 record.
