Hamilton Coyotes starter Errol Lange turned in a top-notch performance against the Sioux Falls Red Pandas at The Bamboo Forest. The result was a win for the Coyotes, 6-1. Lange, the winner, moves to 5-4. He threw 5.1 innings of 1-hit ball, while fanning 2 and giving up 1 walk. Reynaldo Sánchez earned the save for Hamilton, his 1st.
Hamilton relied on the hitting of Ken Stroud to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a solo home run in the top of the first inning to put the Coyotes on top, 1-0. For the game, Stroud had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Stroud.
Even with the win, the Coyotes have a dismal 29-65 record.
