The Sunset District Fog got a sterling performance from pitcher Mark Roddam, but the Coyotes still prevailed, 4-2. Roddam was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He threw 6 innings of 5-hit ball. Even with the win, the Coyotes have a dismal 28-64 record.

Had José Gómez not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Gómez hit a 2-run single. That made the score 4-2, in favor of the Coyotes.

After the game, Hamilton manager David Pacheco applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
