The Brinkley Belugas bested the Sioux Falls Red Pandas, 5-2, at Belugas Ballpark. Luis Yander La O was named player of the game. He went 2-3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Carlos Rosales picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 5-1. Fred Pitts was tagged with the loss. The 6th-place Red Pandas have lost 4 consecutive games.
Yander La O had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the ninth. On a 2-1 cutter from Fred Pitts, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Belugas a 5-2 lead. It was the 7th home run of the year for Yander La O.
Yander La O told a Brinkley Bulletin reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
