Halberds Continue Hot Streak with Extra-Inning Win
The Alloway Halberds outlasted the Houston BC in an extra-inning thriller.

The Alloway Halberds did just enough to sneak past the Houston BC, 5-4, at Houston Park. Alloway second baseman Ethan Stanford earned player of the game honors. Alloway reliever Joe Martarano was credited with the win, to go to 1-0. Pepe Delgado took the loss for Houston.

This game was not decided until late. With one out in the top of the tenth, Juan Salinas hit a sacrifice fly. The Halberds took the lead, 5-4.

In postgame comments, Salinas said he was glad to contribute to an exciting win.

Alloway now has a 3-game win streak.
