Port Royal got a terrific performance from pitcher Chet Saks, but it wasn't enough to beat the Sunset District Fog. Sunset District won the Fog Park contest, 4-3. Saks was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 7 innings of 5-hit ball. The Disaster, at 43-46, have lost 4 in a row.
Armando Carmona drove in one run for Sunset District. The 26-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Alfredo Hernández. It was his 46th RBI of the season.
"I was a little disappointed," said Port Royal manager . "We could've and should've scored more runs."
